Confirmed their readiness
     Livestock farms of the Republic of Kalmykia are preparing for the coming winter. According to the Department of Agriculture, the farms of Kalmykia are ready for the winter.
    As noted by the head of the Agricultural Department of Kalmykia Baatr Balaev, the upcoming winter, according to weather forecasts, will be very cold, so it’s necessary to make every effort for successful wintering of cattle.
    According to the Department, 679,000 heads of cattle are ready for the wintering; 127,000 of them are in the agricultural enterprises and 272,000 animals are in private farms. Taking into account the leftovers of the past years, amount of forage makes over 99 percent.
Despite the forecasts, the breeders still hope that the winter they will overcome successfully. Past experience shows that the amount of the forage will be enough.
   The necessary equipment, wheeled and crawler tractors and snow-removal equipment have been prepared for adverse winter weather conditions in all the farms of the Republic. Most breeding sites are provided with the necessary fuels and lubricants.
Investment in goat's milk
"Pushchino milk" Company plans to invest more than 3 billion rubles in the construction of the full-cycle production complex of goat milk in the Moscow Region.
It will include farms for breeding goats, milk processing equipment and fodder production. The company and the Moscow Region authorities signed the corresponding agreement at the IV International Agricultural dairy forum on November, 8-9.
As reported earlier by Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region Andrey Razin, it was planned to sign 12 investment agreements on more than 14 billion rubles in the fields of animal husbandry, milk production and processing, construction and reconstruction of farms and factories, cheese production and information cooperation. According to preliminary data, in 2017 the investments in the agricultural sector of the Moscow Region have made 21 billion rubles. In 2018 the Government plans to attract 35 billion rubles due to at least 30 new agricultural projects.
The main theme of the IV International Agricultural dairy forum was key challenges and ways of development of the dairy industry at the present stage.
Goat Farm “Lukoz”

Director of Livestock Department and breeding work of Ministry  of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Amerkhanov Kh .A.    visited the goat farm "Lukoz" in the Republic of Mari El.

The biggest farm of dairy goats in our country and the CIS, which has more than a third of goats of zaanenskaya breed of Russia, was founded by the Kazhanovs father and son.
The farm is a modern complex with almost 2,500 animals; the annual milk yield is 650 tons per year. It has nearly 600 hectares of land, its own agricultural machinery and more than 50 job positions.  
The family business includes two goat and one sheep farm, as well as "Sernurskiy cheese plant" which produces about 150 kinds of cheese. The company has begun the production of unique products based on goat milk from their own farm.
