Tuvan lamb will be on the shelves of the Moscow agrarian cluster "FOOD CITY" — the largest retail and wholesale food center in Russia. Sholban Kara-ool, the Head of the Republic, has informed about the beginning of direct deliveries of lamb from Tuva to Moscow, who in the autumn of last year under the mediation of the Governor of Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov held talks on cooperation with the Moscow business. "We resolved the issue with the transportation of chilled lamb from Tuva in the suburbs. We will try to put this work on a systematic basis. This is a gigantic market. This is an opportunity for our shepherds to sell their meat at a bargain price. Of course, for the Moscow region we send the most selective, environmentally friendly, delicious products! The new plant in Sukpak plays a special role in this process", said Sholban Kara-ool. As reported in the Ministry of Agriculture of Tuva, the meat-processing plant "Zarya" has already prepared for shipment 1800 carcasses of mutton, or 30 tons of fresh lamb, procured from the leading farms of Tuva. In total for February the Sukpak meat plant shipped more than 120 tons of chilled mutton. A trial supply will enable to identify the level of demand for Tuvan meat, to work out issues of logistics and other overheads on the way to the Moscow consumer. Around July it is planned to establish a regular supply of fresh mutton from Tuva on the shelves of “FOOD CITY”. There is no doubt that Tuvan meat, especially lamb, will find a buyer in Moscow and the Moscow region. “It has already evaluated in Siberia. We work closely with retailers and restaurants in such major cities as Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Chelyabinsk and other. The first batch of meat of more than 120 tons was delivered in December and it went perfectly. Now the Siberians themselves reach out to us with queries for the lamb”, said Saiyn Oyun, Manager of “Zarya” Warm words, congratulations and gifts were interspersed with great performances that were held in the House of culture of Big Dzhalga Village and not only the workers of the farm but also veterans and residents of the village gathered to watch the celebration. |
