On the 3rd of April on the base of the plant “Kvest-A” (Karachay and Cherkessk Republic) there was an “Open day” for the leaders of agricultural enterprises of the South and North Caucasus Federal districts. The Director General of National Association of Sheep Breeders Mikhail Egorov, the Director of the Russian Science and Research Institution of Sheep and Goats Breeding Marina Selionova, specialists and scientists of the Association and Institution participated in the event. The leader of the plant “Kvest-A” Marat Khalkechev demonstrated to the visitors batching, cleaning, tops and woven producing rooms. He showed the whole way before greasy wool becomes a knitwear. The enterprise capacity is 1000 tones of tops and 1600 tones of clean wool per year. The visitors get acquainted with examples of knitwear produced on the plant, among them is school uniform. Another part of the enterprise is the plant of spinning industry. Now it is at the finishing stage. When all the work is finished the plant will produce high quality, import-substituting products. This allows creating trans-regional, integrative economical model which makes possible to turn out products starting from wool to end products. After the inspection of the plant the visitors shared their opinions about the work on a plant, wool quality and the problems of wool production at all. The Director General of NASB Mikhail Egorov talked about the measures of the Russian Government for stimulating the producing and realization of fine and semi-fine wool. The head of laboratory of “Kvest-A” announced the problems of wool quality, which came on processing in 2014. The leaders of the farms asked questions to Mr. Egorov and Mr. Khalkechev about the subsidize conditions, wool acceptance and work of plant with the farms.
