On the 22nd of September, during the 2nd International Investment Forum "Agroyug 2016", held in Stavropol Region, the Head of the Cattle breeding and Stud Work Department of Ministry of agriculture Kh. A. Amerkhanov held a panel session on "Poultry and cattle breeding". The participants of the session discussed the status and development of cattle breeding in the North Caucasus Federal District. The Head of the Department said that the North Caucasian Federal district ranks No. 6 in the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter in the Russian Federation, No. 5 - in the production of milk, No. 1 - in the production of sheep and goats for slaughter in live weight and No. 1 – in the wool production.
The production of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight has increased by 32.4%, reaching 914,4 thousand tons over the five years. Kharon Amerkhanov noted that in recent years, thanks to the state support, Russian regions have the opportunity to achieve significant results in agricultural production. So, for example Stavropol Region ranks No. 1 in the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight, No. 2 - in the production of milk, No. 1 – in the egg production and No. 2 - in the production of wool – the 2nd place. The heads and specialists of leading enterprises and organizations of the cattle breeding sub-sector, representatives of industry unions and associations, business, as well as leading experts of industrial research institutions took part in the session.

Проект "Кыштаг для молодой семьи", реализуемый в Республике Тыва, направлен на улучшение качества жизни молодых семей на селе путем содействия в строительстве зимних чабанских стоянок и приобретении мелкого рогатого скота в количестве 200 голов. Он способствует увеличение занятости населения в районах республики, развитию крестьянских (фермерских) хозяйств и увеличению поголовья скота. На сходах граждан самими селянами было выбрано 105 семей-участников. С момента начала реализации проект "Кыштаг для молодой семьи" стал по-настоящему народным. Многие односельчане дружно помогали участникам строить чабанские стоянки. В начале текущего месяца Глава Тувы Шолбан Кара-оол поручил проанализировать качество реализации проекта в разрезе всех районов, выявить передовиков, а также тех, у кого по каким-то причинам возникли трудности. По предварительным данным завершено строительство 104 кошар (99 %) и 95 жилых домов (95 %) на стоянках в рамках губернаторского проекта "Кыштаг для молодой семьи". В полном объеме завершено строительство кошар и домов в 11 районах. Пока не завершено строительство жилых домов у 10 (из 105) участников в селах Барун-Хемчикского, Бай-Тайгинского, Тере-Хольского, Эрзинского и Кызылского районов. Договоры на поставку овец были заключены с 75 крупными и племенными хозяйствами Тувы. Отобранный скот прошел ветеринарно-профилактический контроль. Что касается передачи скота, 96 участников получили 20 182 голов овец, это 96 % от нормы. 13 районов полностью завершили передачу овец. Сейчас 8 участников из Улуг-Хемского, Чаа-Хольского и Пий-Хемского районов ждут свой скот. Тем временем, идет активная пора заготовки кормов. Плановые объемы определены Минсельхозом Тувы. Каждая семья должна заготовить не менее 3009 тонн сена и 19 тонн концентрированных кормов. По данным на 3 сентября, участники "Кыштаг для молодой семьи", в целом, заготовили 987 тонн сена или 32 % от плана. В первой тройке активистов идут Сут-Хольский (69%), Улуг-Хемский (64,9%) и Кызылский (52,2%) районы. По предварительным подсчетам, в рамках реализации проекта трудоустроен 791 житель сельской местности, в том числе сами участники - молодые семьи до 35 лет на постоянной основе. Вовлечены в оборот более 19 тыс. га ранее неиспользуемых сельскохозяйственых земель, в том числе сенокосы - 3150 га, пастбища - 525 га и участки под зимние стоянки - 15, 6 тыс. гектаров. Минсельхозпроду поручено проконтролировать завершение строительства и передачи скота, проверить состояние и условия содержания овец на чабанских стоянках участников проекта, и главное, обеспечить завершение заготовки кормов участниками проекта к 20 сентября 2016 г. Министерства экономики и финансов республики должны изыскать финансовые средства для обеспечения водоснабжения чабанских стоянок. В свою очередь, Минтопэнерго РТ совместно с Минсельхозпродом в ближайшее время будут проводить работы по поставке и установке альтернативных источников электроснабжения чабанских стоянок. |

The delegation of the National Association of Sheep Breeders took part in the World Merino Insight of the World Federation in Australia. The heads of stud farms of the Republics of Kalmykia, Dagestan, Khakassia, Transbaikal, Stavropol and Altai Regions, scientific and educational institutions of the country took part in the forum. The delegation was headed by the Director General of the National Association, Vice-President of the World Federation Egorov M. V. In Murray Bridge the delegation attended the Industry Innovation Day; they saw gorgeous modern and advanced animal stud plants of New South Wales and South Australia, such as Collinsville, Nord and Old Ash Rose, Wanganella, Roseville Park and others. Also, there were presented instruments and equipment, veterinary medicines used in the industry. In the end they attended SA Ram Sale. The delegates had the opportunity to visit the largest in Australia modern high-tech processing plant that recycles (2 shifts) 11,000 sheep stock and 1,200 cattle per day. This plant employs 1,400 people. The company's products are shipped to 25 countries. The conference was attended by representatives of all continents. The speakers highlighted the problems that occur in sheep breeding industry and their vision for the further direction in improving the quality of manufactured wool and lamb, breeding and productive qualities of merino sheep. The Director of All-Russian Research Institute of Sheep and Goat Breeding Selionova M. I. made a report at the conference as well. All the speakers noted problems with the staff in the industry. Many farmers leave the industry as it becomes unattractive for young people. By request of the Russian representatives, the experts showed the assessment of sheep by the example of the winners from the stud farms of Nord Ash Rose and Old Ash Rose. Sheep from the stud farm of Nord Ash Rose, owner Tom Ashby (Poll Merino), and merino (horned) from the stud farm Old Ash Rose, owner Robert Ashby, were chosen as champions of the exhibition. The delegates also visited SA Ram Sale. The highest price was given for the ram from the plant Moorundie South – 40,000 dollars. It was given 34,000 dollars for the second ram from the same plant and 33,000 dollars for the ram from the Collinsville stud farm. It should be noted that all these sheep are poll merinos. The sale was conducted by representatives of Elders and Landmark. During the World Merino Insight the Director General of the National Association of sheep breeders of Russia, Vice-President of the World Federation Egorov Mikhail Vasilievich took part in the General meeting of the Federation. President Tom Ashby and Executive Director General Carol-Ann Malouf made their reports at the meeting. At the meeting Uruguay was elected to host the tenth World Conference in 2018.
